Momo, My First Cat

Once upon a time there lived a cat called ‘Momo’.

A shy yet playful cat who loved us and we loved her.

In 2021, in the month of January, something interesting happened to me. I met a guy online who I thought was really cute (we can talk more about this later, it's a funny story!). Through him, I was introduced to my first-ever cat, and I instantly fell in love.
I've always been more of a dog person and never really liked cats. They used to scare me a little, and I would always run away from them. However, as I watched my boyfriend and his cat Momo interact, something changed inside me. Momo would always come close to the phone when we video called, saying hi to me with her meows. It really made me start to smile. I even started asking about her whenever I didn't see her during our calls. It made me feel closer to my boyfriend and like I was a part of their lives.
Momo was a shy but playful cat. Her presence made my boyfriend's heart light up and our small apartment feel like home. He loved coming home to see her waiting for him at the door, meowing as soon as she spotted him. She probably complained because he had been away all day. Momo enjoyed running around in the garden, chasing grasshoppers when it was warm and bringing them back home to show off. She loved playing with a blanket that looked like a monster and chasing after a laser beam. She also had a habit of hiding in the wine cabinet.
Whenever my boyfriend and I had movie nights, Momo would always be a part of them. She loved being with us, and we loved having her around too.

In October 2022, we tragically lost our beloved pet Momo in a car accident. It was a devastating event that left a huge emptiness in our lives. Momo was truly cherished, and we like to think she is now happily chasing grasshoppers in heaven.
